POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The power window control system controls the power window operation using the power window regulator motors. The main controls of this system are the power window regulator master switch assembly (mounted on the driver door), power window regulator switch assembly (mounted on the front passenger door) and rear power window regulator switch assemblies (mounted on the rear doors). Operating a window switch results in electrical power being transmitted to the corresponding power window regulator motor assembly.



FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS


The power window control system consists of the following components:

Power window regulator master switch assembly

Controls power window operation for all windows.

When window lock switch is pressed, window operation will be possible only for driver door power window.


Power window regulator switch assembly
·

Located on front passenger door.

·

Controls front passenger window operation.


·

Rear power window regulator switch assembly LH

·

Rear power window regulator switch assembly RH


·

Located on rear doors.

·

Each switch controls window operation for its respective window.


·

Front power window regulator motor assembly LH

·

Front power window regulator motor assembly RH

·

Rear power window regulator motor assembly LH

·

Rear power window regulator motor assembly RH


Receives switch signals and changes signals into motor activation. As a result, window position changes.


SYSTEM FUNCTION


The power window control system has the following functions:

Manual up and down function

For driver door:

Function that causes the window to go up while the power window regulator master switch assembly is being pulled up and to go down while pushed halfway down. The window stops as soon as the switch is released.

For front passenger door and rear doors:

Function that causes the window to go up while the power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly is being pulled up and to go down while pushed down. The window stops as soon as the switch is released.


Driver door auto down function Function that enables the driver door window to be fully opened by one full push of the power window regulator master switch assembly.
Window lock function

Function that disables the power window regulator switch assembly and rear power window regulator switch assemblies operations when the window lock switch is pressed.

·

The power window regulator switch assembly and rear power window regulator switch assemblies can be operated when the window lock switch is pressed again.


Remote control function Function that allows the power window regulator master switch assembly to control manual up and down operation of the front passenger door window and rear door windows.
